When I entered BROKEN CHORDS into this competition, I had zero expectations. Let's just say I've entered a couple book contests in my day. But, my book took an honorable mention! What a fabulous surprise! As this is a horror novella, I'm extra proud as genre fiction can sometimes get lost in the mix, and I love this book so much. (I know I'm a little biased.) And don't forget, if you're in the Palm Beach, FL area on February 18th, come see me, four other debut authors, and the legendary R. L. Stine at Palm Beach Peril where we'll be doing a panel presentation followed by a book signing (my FIRST book signing! Squee!) I hope to see you there. Find out more about this event HERE.

Yes, 'happy-dancing' is a verb, because that's what I'm doing right now. All over the place. Happy-dancing and dissolving into spontaneous smiles. I'm thrilled to announce that I've been offered representation by an incredible literary agent, Dr. Uwe Stender. I'm honored to join #TeamTriada alongside the other talented TriadaUS Literary Agency authors and agents.
When I received the first tweet from Rebecca Faith Heyman about my Pitch2Publication submission, TEN PAST CLOSING (a young adult thriller), I was through the roof. And it only got better and better after that. I am beyond grateful to Rebecca and the organizer of P2P, Samantha Fountain, and for the support of the other P2P authors. Now, it's time to get to work so TEN PAST can find its way onto the shelves. And if anyone is interested, you can read the book blurb on the P2P website right HERE.
Now, time to get back to work.
What an incredible honor. Though the official ballot for the 2015 Bram Stoker Awards won't be announced until February 23rd, it's an honor just to be considered. So, congratulations to Leap Books and the incredible group of authors with stories in this eclectic collection of stories.
